The City of Maple Heights is pleased to announce that it is enhancing its ability to notify our residents of important information. Mayor Lansky and all of City Council have contracted with Emergency Communications Network to use the CodeRED high-speed notification system to quickly deliver messages to the entire city or very specific areas.
The system will be used by the Safety Forces, Fire and Police, to provide very important information very quickly utilizing the resident’s home telephone and/or cell phone. Examples of notifications are; Severe Weather conditions, fire/chemical incidents that require interaction with residents and police activity that the public needs notice of. It may also be used for missing children and adults. These are just a few of the uses for the CodeRED System. As situations warrant, the system can be placed into use. With the CodeRED System we will have the ability to notify the entire city in a matter of minutes
We believe that this system is another valuable tool the City of Maple Heights has to help provide the highest level of service to its residents and businesses.
The CodeRED notification system is reliant on accurate information regarding our residents and businesses. The system is only as good as the telephone number database on file. “If your telephone number and/or cell number is not provided to us, you will NOT be called” Residents and business owners must not assume that your information is automatically entered into the system. With this in mind, we are asking all residents and business owners to complete the form below and return it as indicated. This will ensure that your numbers are entered into the CodeRED System. If you do not want to receive calls from the CodeRED System you may opt out as indicated below. You can also submit your information to participate using the CodeRED link on the City of Maple Heights Website.
