Fire Department
The Maple Heights Fire Department provides round-the-clock fire protection and emergency medical service to the City. The Fire Department operates out of two fire stations. Fire Station #1 is located at 5520 Warrensville Center Road and Fire Station #2 is located at 5720 Dunham Road. The two rescue squads are staffed by trained firefighter/paramedics. The Fire Department responds to over 4,000 incidents each year.
The Maple Heights Fire Prevention Bureau’s responsibilities include fire prevention education, and inspection of commercial buildings in the City. Fire Department personnel are also part of the Regional Hazardous Materials Team and Confined Rescue Team, serving both the Chagrin and Southeast regions of the County.
A limited supply of smoke detectors are available free to residents who qualify.
Emergency Medical Information packets are available free to residents. These packets contain vital information for the Fire Department Paramedics if you are unable to communicate with them.
Residential Lock Boxes are available free to qualifying residents. These boxes allow entry into your home by the Fire Department if you are unable to open the door. For more information about any of the programs offered by the Fire Department, contact the Fire Prevention Bureau a 662-6035.
